The service
Shelfwords uses artificial intelligence to write product texts in the language you choose (SEO title, meta description, descriptions, bullet points and image alt text) from the facts you provide, and to suggest research that you review before use.
Your responsibility for the output
The AI can make mistakes. Research suggestions come from what the AI already knows, not from live web pages. You must check every text and every specification against your supplier's data sheet before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish on your shop, including claims about the product and compliance with consumer and advertising law.
We run automatic checks on each text. They help, but they do not guarantee that a text is correct, complete, original or suitable for your product.
No promise about search rankings or sales
Search engines decide rankings using many factors outside the text. We do not promise any ranking, traffic or sales result.
Accounts
You need a valid email address and must keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or act for a business.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service, for example by overloading it or trying to get around limits.
Credits and prices
Writing a text costs one credit. Researching a product is free. The first three rewrites of a single field of a text are free, further rewrites cost one credit. Editing a text yourself is free.
Prices, in euros excluding VAT: 10 credits for €9, 50 credits for €39, or a monthly plan of €29 for 75 texts a month. Credits from packs do not expire. Unused texts from the monthly plan carry over for one month. You can cancel the monthly plan at any time; it ends at the end of the month already paid for. VAT is added where the law requires it. Refunds: [YOUR REFUND TERMS]. If a text could not be produced because of an error on our side, the credit is returned automatically.
Your content and the texts
The product facts you enter and the texts written for you belong to you. You give us permission to process them to run the service. We do not use your content for anything other than running the service, and we do not publish it. The AI provider we use processes the facts you submit to generate the text (see the privacy policy).
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful products or claims, for misleading health or safety claims, for content that infringes someone else's rights, or to attack or overload the service.
Availability
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee it is always on. The AI provider can be temporarily unavailable. We may change or stop features with reasonable notice where we can.
Liability
